For an Itchycoo Owl?

As I was just about to turn back to go home I spotted this in the distance, down the hill and across the street. Always on the look out for trolls I thought it might just be one. When you get closer and walk around it is equally impressive, morphing into all sorts of forms, a troll, old man or maybe an eagle. However at a close look within the beauty, texture and contrast of wood you can see quite clearly that it's a little house, maybe a home to a fairy, goblin or even a hobbit.

Here are some more little people's houses / tea pots and pans.

It's a shame as what you can't see is the steam rising out of the spouts.

A chair fit for a Troll.

Ian Freemantle has worked as a tree surgeon for over 16 years,  later specialising in veteran and historic tree management, caring for many of the most important trees in England. Over the years he honed his skills with a chainsaw and with an abundance of green wood at his disposal it was only natural he should develop his skills in carving. Ian lives on the historic wooden narrow boat ‘Clee’, now working exclusively as an Artist and poet. His work includes green wood working, green building and poetry, culminating in an inspiring range of environmentally sympathetic installations and sculpture. He is an active campaigner against global warming and for people’s rights.
