Pulse London: Gillian Gladrag

It was great to meet Gillian Harris, of Gillian Gladrag herself. I have a signed copy of her book Complete Felting, which I bought back in 2006. Her designs and colours are great as is the overall look of her brand. I became interested in the idea of felting after my mum had made some little felt booties for Daisy. While felting is very popular- as is knitting in Norway and Scandinavia until then I hadn't seen so much in the UK. When I looked it was obvious that Gillian was and still is - doing it - best! Unfortunately I didn't get very far, I got back into painting.

 I love the angel

My poor attempt which hasn't been made into anything, but it is still loved.

Pulse London: Disaster Designs

The Moomins!!

At last ! I was very excited to see the Moomin trolls in the Uk!! Obviously a Scandinavian thing, but come on they are much cooler than the Smurfs! Aside from that I also liked the other quirky nostalgic designs by Disaster. I can't believe I didn't ask about their name- I guess it did the trick as I remembered thinking about it later.
