My Paintings Have Been Spoonflowered!

I've been having fun playing around with my paintings on Spoonflower. Here are some of the results on fabric. The colour is off, quite dull but you can get an idea of what it could be like.

The Firebird A Russian Folk Tale.

Rrthe-firebird_comment_27273_preview

This is the tale of the Tsarevich Ivan and his most noble quest to catch the firebird who has been stealing the golden apples of his father, the Tsar Vyslav Andronovich. With the aid of a kind grey wolf, the young prince completes his quest and wins the heart and hand of his own true love, Tsarevna Elena the Fair. Turn of the century Russian book illustrations are beautiful. This fabric is an homage to Ivan Bilibin, Boris Zvorykin, and all the other great artists who created those timeless classics. This fabric has been made By Cean Irminger a mosaic designer  using Spoonflower. (shop here) It makes me wonder if my Itchycoo stories could be used in a similar way.

Daydreaming of Itchycoo scarves at Liberty's.

Still hooked on Spoonflower, I thought I would have a go with my paintings. After doing so I thought they would work well on a Liberty scarf. It's good to dream, maybe one day.

Itchycoo flowers get Spoonflowered

I'm pretty poor as far as anything technical goes, especially computers. However I am trying hard to learn. I was therefore delighted when I came across Spoonflower  where you can create your own designs, selecting various style repeats. As you can see I'm hooked on mirror repeats. I've got a little carried away down loading all sorts, finding that details of my paintings worked best.
This first one is my favourite, I think it would make a great fabric!
