Getting Ready for The Affordable Art Fair in Battersea

So now I am busy painting!!
Our kitchen has turned into a messy studio,

while our dinning room has turned into a wood workshop!
(No I'm not making anything exciting - there is a lot of DIY going on.)

Arthouse Meath's New Decorative Mapping

Once again, I'm very proud of my art group. The Arthouse Meath have just received the new mapping pictures from the framers which will be on show at The Chelsea Art Fair this week. The picture above has been drawn by Karen Brown who has spent many hours drawing quirky characters at play with hopscotch houses down the street.

The fairground series are a group pictures that mix and match individual styles of drawing.
The artists are:
Peter Andrews, Lyn Belcher, Laura Tregellas, Seb Bennett, Sarah January, Marjorie Doherty, Helen Hankins, Karen Brown, Grace Oakley and Stephen Thomson.

Battersea Power Station

It's one of those places I've always wanted to photograph but never have because I'm usually on the train too far away. This time I found myself driving past, obviously this time I could stop and get out of the car. It also makes me think of one of the Arthouse Meath Artist's Simon Hammond, (Unfortunately not in my art class) whose construction drawings are amazing. He draws inside - out. Below is an example of his work. I would love to see what he would make of this building with it's rusty old cranes.

These cranes are like characatures of people,
I'm thinking Beavis and Butt Head (MTV)

The Scenic Walk Home From School.

The Basingstoke Canal, Woking

After watching 3W's Alice and Wonderland Assembly the walk back home.
This is the route I usually jog back home, today I enjoyed the scenery with my camera instead.

 St John's Lye

 Woking Golf Club, Hook Heath.

I've often seen deer in the wooded areas here,
but I've never been quick enough to get a photo!

 Mid air!!

Love the shape of this tree.

These flames are huge!

The road home would have looked prettier had it not been bin day!

What's left of last weeks snow men.
