After visiting the Southbank, London a few weeks back and seeing a few beach huts slowly going up I was delighted to return and take a peek inside, as were Daisy Iris and Nana. Now they stretch alongside the river, each one contains something different: look out for a library of the sea, an exhibition of vintage beachwear, a slot machine by Tim Hunkin, and a rolling gallery of visual art remembering 1953 when a storm surge flooded much of the North Sea coast.
Participating artists include: Gordon Allum, Markus Birdman, Phill Jupitus, Tim Hunkin, Sadie Hennessy, Grenville Davey, Heidi Wigmore, Bill Mitchell with Dave Mynne, Holly Murray, Lemn Sissay, Southbank Mosaics and Patrick Loan.
